Owned and operated by Brian Brake and the Colourpus team, Brakes Colourplus is a large store with a huge range of decorating options.

If you are building or renovating a comprehensive decorating consultancy service can be provided by our experienced consultants.  This service includes working together through the the available design options, helping to select fittings, paint colours, fabrics, furnishings and flooring.  It is also extended to help our clients with placement of furniture and accessories.

Brian is the owner of Brakes Colourplus and manages the store, while Maree is head of administration and has 31 years experience in the retail decor industry.  Trina is invloved with colour consultancy, window treatments, flooring and decor consultancy, and is on the road with the mobile van.  Greg is the main retail sales assistant.

Wallpaper is back!  Designs from New Zealand and abroad are available, including and extensive range of popular patterned papers for statement walls.  Brakes Colourplus offers an impressive 80 wallpaper books in store for you to choose from.

The Colourplus franchise has also launched its own premium paint label.  This exciting new range consists of 720 colours, over 400 of these being whites and neutrals.  It is premium quality, and is guaranteed by Colourplus because it is made by Colourplus.  One of the advantages of this range are the A6 and A3 sized colour cards that customers can use to get a better indication of the actual shade of paint.  These new cards are painted with Colourplus paint, which gives a more accurate result.
