Practical considerations when buying and installing tiles
Shade, pattern and size variations are normal due to the manufacturing process. To minimise variation, tiles are supplied in the same batch where possible. Blending from a number of boxes during installation may be necessary.
5 - 8% is the normal extra allowance for cutting and wastage. We recommend you keep two boxes of tiles for furture repairs and/or additions.
A thorough clean immediately after installation is essential to remove any protective wax coating or grout residue.
Sealing is not required post installation, but for polished porcelains their factory coating will eventually wear away, and a coat of sealer will be required to maintain the stain resistance of the surface.
Tiles are one of the most durable and easy to clean surfaces for your home, however by their nature polished and textured finishes, as well as lighter colours may require more maintenance.
